Grupo de investigación aplicada traslacional en cáncer, ginecopatología e inmunopatología. Su línea principal de investigación se centra en la identificación de nuevos marcadores de interés pronóstico y diagnóstico en el cáncer. También se realiza investigación sobre la biopatología del carcinoma oral de células escamosas, encaminada esencialmente el análisis de marcadores de proliferación celular en epitelios premalignos y en tejido tumoral, así como el estudio de proteínas estimuladas de la proliferación. En los últimos años la línea principal del grupo se ha dirigido al campo de expresión de marcadores de células madre cancerosas en epitelio premaligno y cáncer oral. En la actualidad por medio de herramientas de patología digital y patología computacional nuestro grupo de investigación está desarrollando modelos de aprendizaje por Deep-learning como nueva línea en investigación del cáncer.
