El grupo viene desarrollando su investigación en la identificación de nuevos trazadores aplicables al diagnóstico y evaluación de la respuesta farmacológica del cáncer. Pertenece a la Red Temática de Investigación Corporativa CÁNCER y es referente en la evaluación técnica de nuevos procedimientos de utilidad en Medicina Nuclear. Plataforma de diagnóstico por imagen.
Líneas de investigación
- Aplicaciones clínicas de la PET. Incidencia de la técnica en la toma de decisiones clínicas en el campo de la oncología.
- Endocrinología nuclear. Aplicaciones de los isótopos al estudio de procesos endocrinológicos. Marcadores genéticos en cáncer de tiroides.
- Neurología, Neuropsicología y Psiquiatria nuclear. Aplicaciones de los isótopos al estudio del SNC (demencias, tumores del SNC, afectación neurológica de procesos sistémicos, etc.).
- Radiofarmacia Marcaje, desarrollo galénico y control de calidad de nuevos radiofármacos.
