El grupo viene desarrollando su investigación en la identificación de nuevos trazadores aplicables al diagnóstico y evaluación de la respuesta farmacológica del cáncer. Pertenece a la Red Temática de Investigación Corporativa CÁNCER y es referente en la evaluación técnica de nuevos procedimientos de utilidad en Medicina Nuclear. Plataforma de diagnóstico por imagen.

Líneas de investigación

Aplicaciones clínicas de la PET. Incidencia de la técnica en la toma de decisiones clínicas en el campo de la oncología.
Endocrinología nuclear. Aplicaciones de los isótopos al estudio de procesos endocrinológicos. Marcadores genéticos en cáncer de tiroides.
Neurología, Neuropsicología y Psiquiatria nuclear. Aplicaciones de los isótopos al estudio del SNC (demencias, tumores del SNC, afectación neurológica de procesos sistémicos, etc.).
Radiofarmacia Marcaje, desarrollo galénico y control de calidad de nuevos radiofármacos.
