In addition, it is intended to establish working groups that serve as a forum for the participation of the different agents for the detection of new demands in the sector.
The delegate for Equality, Health and Social Policies, Higinio Almagro, opened this meeting and highlighted that "information and communication technologies are a fundamental element in the modernization and improvement of health systems" and valued this type of meeting that allows "the creation of a permanent working group that makes innovation a transversal element that permeates health care and resource management in public health centers in the province of Granada".
I + D + i projects
The public hospitals of Granada have a series of projects of this type, specifically, they have a work underway by the Pharmacy clinical management unit on the improvement of the system for the distribution of medicines in unit doses.
In addition, another project focused on efficient continuity of care for chronic multi-pathological patients (CRONOS) is started, which is subsidized by the Andalusian Agency for Innovation and Development IDEA. This study will define, develop and pilot a comprehensive system for the provision of care services to chronic patients whose implementation allows the continuity of out-of-hospital care, conducting personalized and constant surveillance of patients, contributing to the improvement of their health and their quality of life, and, consequently, the reduction of healthcare costs.
One of the already consolidated works is the rehabilitation of the pelvic floor, financed by the Ministry of Equality, Health and Social Policies. The Virgen de las Nieves University Hospital has a telemedicine service for the rehabilitation of the pelvic floor. This service helps to perform the exercises correctly and allows the remote management of patients in an effective and efficient way, being a system that provides clinical evidence of the evolution and behavior of the patient. The project is aimed at improving the quality of life of those affected, and trying to use health resources in a rational and sustainable way with the help of new technologies.
