ANTONIO SAMPEDRO MARTINEZ

I hold a PhD in Pharmacy, a degree obtained through an FPU scholarship at the Department of Microbiology at the University of Granada (UGR). I am also a specialist in Clinical Analysis and a Specialist in Clinical Microbiology and Parasitology, and I currently work as a Section Head, responsible for the areas of serology and molecular microbiology at the Virgen de las Nieves Hospital.
As for my teaching work, I have been a tutor for Microbiology residents since 2011 and an external professor at the UGR in the Postgraduate Master's Degree "Biological Analysis and Laboratory Diagnosis" since the 2015-2016 academic year, teaching classes in modules related to bacteriology and fungal infections. I have authorized ten Master's Final Projects and directed two doctoral theses focused on microbiology topics.
In the field of research, I have participated and continue to participate as a researcher in 15 projects with competitive funding, both national and international. My scientific production includes more than 90 publications in journals with an impact index and the authorship of more than 15 chapters in books specialized in microbiology and infectious diseases.
