Regenerative Medicine: Disease and Aging
Last Wednesday, on the occasion of the Closing Ceremony of the Master: "Translational Research and Personalized Medicine (TransMed)", we had the pleasure of having Juan Carlos Izpisúa Belmonte, research professor at the Gene Expression Laboratory, Salk Institute (La Jolla, California, USA), who gave an interesting conference entitled "Regenerative Medicine: Disease and Aging"
Dr. Juan Carlos Izpisúa Belmonte the use of embryonic cells to regenerate the heart, his advances in the generation of induced pluripotent stem cells, the creation of "mini-organs" from stem cells and his research on human aging. It was a very interesting conference to understand the future of stem cells in tissue regeneration.
