Based on the results of the online voting, the Commission, in cooperation with the Institute of the European Investment Bank, will launch the Horizon Award for the challenge that receives the most votes.
The award contest will launch in early 2016.
The team best suited to the challenge will receive two million euros from the EU's research and innovation funding program, Horizon 2020.
This public vote wants "everyone in Europe to participate in the design of the first Horizon Prize for Social Innovation". Thus, the five issues for the vote are childhood obesity, the aging of the population, the integration of immigrants in the labor market, companies run by women that are growing in number and size, and the generation of clean energy led by women. community.
