Rare diseases and HIV infection today star in the activities organized by the ibs.GRANADA in Science Week
First thing in the morning, the ibs.GRANADA organized two coffee with science activities, which were attended by second year high school students from IES Padre Manjón at the Virgen de las Nieves University Hospital.
One of the activities consisted of an informal talk with high school education students in a relaxed atmosphere where Dr. Álvaro Gallego presented his research experience, the researcher's work and inspiration in the laboratory, as well as how to survive abroad as a junior researcher in the world of Big Data and clinical genomics.
The other activity took place in the Infectious Unit of the Virgen de las Nieves University Hospital, where Dr. Carmen Hidalgo made a presentation on the comprehensive approach to HIV infection.
Both activities have passed smoothly and the participants have been able to ask all the questions they wanted. The day has been much more interactive, and also more familiar, thanks to the breakfast that has been offered in each of them.
