The ibs.GRANADA participates in the ForumTransfiere de Málaga 2020
Last Wednesday, February 12, the ibs.GRANADA participated in the Transfiere Forum of Malaga 2020 at the stand of the Office of Technology Transfer of the Public Health System of Andalusia. It is organized by the Ministry of Science and Innovation, together with the Junta de Andalucía and the Málaga City Council.
The Transfiere Forum is the great professional and multisectoral forum for the transfer of knowledge and technology that is held in Spain, and that shows who is who in the national and international R & D & I ecosystem. Transfiere is a unique space to promote innovation among research groups and companies, as well as helping to improve the competitiveness of the business sector. Being an active part of Transfiere allows generating contacts of interest, synergies and the exchange of knowledge in the field of innovation, research and knowledge transfer in the different strategic sectors of the economy.
In this scenario, more than 4.000 professionals and 39.000 research groups from the public and private sectors have gathered, the Ministry of Health and Families will present its innovation and technology transfer strategy, a key axis for the development of health technologies that result in improving the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
Thus, representatives of the Office of Technology Transfer of the Andalusian Public Health System, headed by its director, Javier Montero Plata, have held more than twenty bilateral meetings with universities, private companies, technology centers, public institutions, etc. ., to make them aware of the technological offer that has been generated thanks to the work carried out by researchers linked to Andalusian health.
During this edition, the Ministry of Health and Families has placed special emphasis on also showing the Innovative Public Procurement Strategy in Health, which includes three initiatives aimed at the diagnosis, control and monitoring of colorectal, breast and lung cancer patients through liquid biopsy (Liquid Biopsy project); antimicrobial susceptibility analysis (Asurant project); and to the digitalization of the Pathological Anatomy of all Andalusian public health (Padiga project). In this sense, the coordinator of the Innovative Public Procurement Strategy, José María de la Higuera, highlighted that this formula involves establishing a collaborative process of generating knowledge in which the business fabric "contributes to the search for solutions to three challenges of great importance that benefit the health system, the market and, above all, the citizenry
Over two days, different sectors have shared time and space to promote the work of science, technology and innovation as an economic and social engine. Public Administrations and sectors such as aeronautics, agri-food, energy, environmental and health, among many others participate in Transfiere 2020. Among the topics that this year will be discussed in the Tranfiere Forum, stand out the digital transformation, artificial intelligence, female talent, open innovation, public purchase of innovation and communication and dissemination of science.
