Dr. José Carlos Prados Salazar

Doctor in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Granada in 1993 and Professor of the Department of Anatomy and Embryology of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Granada since 2011. Researcher in basic oncology and its application to the clinic since 1990, has five six-year research and one transfer, more than 120 scientific articles in JCR journals. He has participated in 56 research projects with competitive funding, of which he has led as IP 19 and has developed 17 research contracts with companies in the biomedical area. It has also developed 14 patents related to new therapeutic strategies in the field of gene therapy, nanomedicine and new biomarkers in the diagnosis and / or prognosis of cancer. He has been the director of 22 doctoral theses, of which 13 are with international mention. He has been awarded 7 research awards, among which is the XNUMXst Health Research Award of the Andalusian Autonomous Community.
