TECe21-Bone Repair, Regeneration and Substitution (Emerging)
Advanced Therapies and Biomedical Technologies / IBS-TECe21
The group is made up of a heterogeneous group of pathology, dentistry and orthopedic surgery researchers whose common denominator is bone pathology in dentistry and the musculoskeletal system. We all work on the same fabric with analogies in repair, reconstruction and replacement. Our main objective is to contribute to the knowledge of bone regeneration and the treatment of bone defects, with translation to the clinic in relation to the most prevalent health problems and with the greatest impact in today's society, such as post-traumatic and degenerative bone defects. , bone grafts and substitutes, consolidation disorders, osteoarticular surgery and dental and orthopedic implantology.
The two main lines of work focus on the exploration of a vascularized bone allograft and the study of peri-implant disease, both in dentistry and orthopedic surgery.
Research lines
- Bone regenaration
- mesenchymal cells
- Molecular biology. proteomics
- Biomaterials
- Hand Surgery
