Advanced Therapies and Biomedical Technologies / IBS-TEC14 / Consolidated
Multidisciplinary group with a clear translational intention. The attention to the reproductive desires of infertile couples is the focus of the group's field of action, whether at a molecular or clinical level. Its research focuses on increasing the safety and quality of these techniques. It addresses clearly molecular aspects such as uterine receptivity and spermatogenesis. In addition, it works on obstetric aspects related to premature birth such as its prevention and treatment. In relation to hereditary and complex diseases, it focuses on diseases with a clearly genetic basis (such as autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease) or multifactorial (such as hereditary cancer). Addressing their prevention both through reproductive genetic counseling and the study of different genetic variants.
