Precision Medicine / IBS-MP19 / Consolidated
The Nutrition, Metabolism, Growth and Development research group is part of the EURISTIKOS Pediatric Research Center of Excellence (www.euristikos.es) of the University of Granada (UGR). It is directed by Cristina Campoy, Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Granada. It is made up of researchers funded by highly competitive public funding research projects-contracts and the rest linked to the Institution or hired through private companies. The research group is multidisciplinary, and includes both basic and clinical researchers, in which there are pediatricians, obstetricians, neurophysiologists, pharmacists, biologists, biochemists, psychologists, biotechnologists, specialists in activity and physical condition, food technologists, nutritionists-dieticians, nurses and computer scientists. In addition, it is a leading group in the area of research in which it works, also being the recipient of different international researchers who request short or medium-term stays with different projects and mobility grants that help to establish new nuclei of collaboration with other institutions. and universities. The EURISTIKOS Center is also a recipient of undergraduate students in Medicine, Nutrition and Food Science and Technology, as well as master's and doctoral students. The teacher. Campoy has coordinated the FP7 NUTRIMENTHE EU Project (Ref. 212652) (2008-2013) (www.nutrimenthe.eu) and coordinates the Master and Interuniversity Doctorate Program: “Genetic, Nutritional and Enviromental Factors for Growth and Development” (www.nutrenvigen-gd.com). He has participated in 7 European Union Research projects {NUHEAL FP5 BIOMED QRLT-1999-00888; EARNEST FP6 FOOD-CT-2005-007036; NUTRIMENTHE FP7; NutriOMICS - EU Marie Curie Program. In addition, he is a member of the CIBERESP (Epidemiology and Public Health), nº CB06 / 02/0049, 2006}. Principal investigator of the Excellence Project of the Junta de Andalucía PREOBE (P06-CTS- 02341), and of different projects financed by the Ministry of Industry, Health, and Education and Science {REMODEL (FIS) nº 04/2690, EVASYON (FIS ) No. 05/2369, PREOBE-2nd Follow-up (BFU2012-40254-C03-01) and GD-BRAIN (SAF2015-69265-C2-1-R); PI in different projects financed by companies (Laboratorios ORDESA: COGNIS, SMARTFOODS-CIEN, TOLERA-CIEN; Abbott Nutrition: NIGOHealth; Lorgen, SL: Nutrigen-IgG).
