The GIAP brings together professionals from the field of Primary Care in the field of Medicine, Nursing, Clinical Pharmacy, Paediatrics, UGR professionals in the field of Health Sciences and professionals in specialized health training with a shared purpose.
The general objective is "Generate useful and relevant knowledge in the field of Primary Care", with a direct interest in improving their own clinical actions.
From this position, the organizational strategy of the group is that of a multidisciplinary functional organization in a network, of a stable nature, with lines in the medium and long term and a relational strategy with other research groups and other scientific and social networks.
Research lines
- Clinical epidemiology, therapeutic diagnostic decisions and results regarding infectious diseases, cancer and chronic vascular and endocrine-metabolic problems
- Therapeutic prescription: safety, suitability
- Evaluation of health processes and results.
- Health promotion and prevention (adolescents, women's reproductive health, the elderly, and socially excluded groups).
- Bioethics and decisions at the end of life.
- Communication and professional-patient relationship
- Biopsychosocial problems and interventions.
- Health and quality of working life in health professionals (emergencies, PC, MIR)
- Postgraduate training: evaluation of processes, learning outcomes and competences
- Use of health services and citizen orientation
