The group bases its interest on the development of vital tools for the generation of precision medicine that represents an advance in the personalization of therapeutic strategies applied to patients with lung disease.
Precision medicine uses all possible tools to give patients an early and accurate diagnosis as well as to offer them a therapy according to their specific condition. Our program focuses on the study of biomarkers of all kinds in lung disease. The working group has a long scientific track record in this field and in recent years has led and developed projects in the field of pulmonology, projects in Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, COPD, COVID-19, Asthma and Lung Cancer, etc.
