E03-Physiotherapy, Nursing Care and Translational Biomedicine
Epidemiology and Public Health / IBS-E03 / Consolidated
It is a multidisciplinary group whose main objective is the study of chronic pain processes, musculoskeletal, vascular and functional alterations involved in various pathologies that generate high levels of dependency and disability at the population level. Specifically, the main focus of interest is limited to the evaluation of the effectiveness of different Physiotherapeutic treatments for the improvement of pain, quality of life and the functional repercussion of populations with chronic disease.
Research lines
- Peripheral Vascular Alterations: Evaluation and treatment in physiotherapy
- Physiotherapy in nonspecific chronic low back pain
- Neurosciences and Pain in Physiotherapy.
- Pain processing, functional alterations and inflammatory biomarkers in Fibromyalgia.
- Nursing care in rare diseases.
- Sexual health and nursing care during the reproductive stage of women.
- Humanization and health care.
- Gender violence in the health sector.
