Group A-09 of the Biosanitary Research Institute of Granada is focused on molecular oncology, in the study of molecular bases and gene expression profiles in cancer. In our group we intend the genetic study of tumors, specifically we are focused on lung cancer. Understanding the genetic characteristics and biology of the tumor is important because it can allow finding altered genes and altered proteins in specific tumor types that can be used as biomarkers and targets for the development of new therapies that cancer patients can benefit from. lung. On the other hand, the research group is also focused on the study of new pharmacological compounds with antitumor activity directed against new therapeutic targets.
