Granada consolidates itself as the epicenter of biohealth innovation with the celebration of the III PTS Research Congress
From February 3 to 5, the Faculty of Medicine of the UGR will host this event organized by Granada Salud, a public-private initiative aimed at promoting the innovative and economic potential of the health sciences ecosystem.

The Biosanitary Research Institute of Granada (ibs.GRANADA), as part of Granada Salud, participates in the organization of the III Research Congress together with the PTS Granada Foundation and the rest of the public-private institutions that make up Granada Salud, an initiative to make visible and position the city as a benchmark for health innovation.
El III PTS Granada Research Congress, which will be held February 3 to 5 at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Granada (UGR), has established itself as one of the main forums for knowledge exchange and transfer in the life sciences and health sector. This key event in the regional and national scientific calendar will bring together researchers, health personnel, students and representatives of research centers and companies, to know the most
outstanding and current lines of research in biomedicine and biotechnology, share advances, possible synergies and collaborations between the different agents of the PTS Granada innovation ecosystem.
In its previous edition, the congress brought together more than four hundred researchers and more than twenty companies, and generated three hundred communications. A precedent of success and participation that is expected to be repeated this year with a complete agenda of plenary conferences, thematic sessions, B2B meetings between attendees, sessions with patient associations and informative conferences.
The III PTS Granada Research Congress promises to be a meeting point for professionals dedicated to health science and technology. And it will fulfill the mission of promoting transfer between the academic field and the bio-health industry, promoting innovation and technological development, thus contributing to economic progress and improving the quality of life in Andalusia.
Thematic lines
During the three days of the congress, a diverse range of scientific communications will be addressed in the following thematic lines: Neurosciences; Oncology; Inflammatory Diseases; Infectious diseases; Nutrition and Food Technology; Physical Activity and Sports for Health; Rare Diseases; Epidemiology and Public Health. OneHealth; Cardiovascular diseases. Dermatology. Transplants. Advances in Clinical Research; Personalized Medicine and Advanced Therapies; ICT for Health; Transfer and Provision of Services and Support for Research in the Field of Health.
In the month of September, the period for submitting proposals for any of the parallel sessions of the congress will open. As well as the prestigious speakers who will offer a keynote lecture in the opening and closing sessions will be announced.
Granada, an Andalusian benchmark in health sciences and technology
Biomedicine and biotechnology play an increasingly prominent role due to their ability to improve diagnoses, design new treatments and optimize existing ones. The city of Granada has more than thirty public and private actors in the sector, the majority based in the PTS. And it has enormous and growing potential both in research and business development, as well as in healthcare and training. With the purpose of making this ecosystem of biohealth innovation visible, and promoting it as an engine of economic and social development for the province, the PTS Granada Foundation organizes the congress together with the member entities of Granada Salud, and the management of the Biomedical Research Center of the University of Granada (CIBM) responsible for coordinating the Scientific Committee.
