Doctoral Program in Clinical Medicine and Public Health

Coordination: D. Mariana Fátima Fernández Cabrera (Group A15-Basic and Clinical Oncology)

Aimed at: professionals in the field of health who are interested in deepening research in the field of clinical medicine and public health, and who meet the requirements for access to doctoral studies according to Royal Decree 99/2011, of 28 December January. We require commitment and related prior training, so students from the master's degrees attached to the program will have preference.

  • Epidemiology and Public Health
  • Clinical pharmacology
  • Physiopathology of medical-surgical diseases
  • Research in clinical dentistry
  • Clinical neurosciences and pain
  • Radiology and Physical Medicine

Doctoral Program in Biomedicine

Coordination: Dr. Enrique José Cobos del Moral (Group MP09-NEUROPHARMACOLOGY OF PAIN)

Fundamental objectives:

  • train researchers with the ability to do quality science,
  • promote quality research in Biomedicine and
  • transfer knowledge to society for its use.

This program is of recent creation (Resolution of October 18, 2010, BOE November 12, 2010), but it has assimilated old doctoral programs associated with master's degrees (8 of them with a Quality Mention) in a desire for integration, collaboration and interaction in basic research applied to Health Sciences.

Doctoral Program in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

Fundamental objectives:

  • Train researchers with the ability to do quality science.
  • Promote quality research in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
  • Transfer knowledge to society for its use.

This program began more than twenty years ago, adapting to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Science, always obtaining the highest consideration.

Doctoral Program in Pharmacy

Fundamental objectives: The program is a joint effort of the Faculty of Pharmacy of Granada and other institutions in order to prepare doctors at the highest level in the field of pharmaceutical sciences and whose main objectives are.

  • To train in research and transferable skills in accordance with the UGR's research, doctoral training and internationalization strategies, aimed at developing suitable professional itineraries and offering, based on their research capacity, opportunities to new researchers;
  • Develop a critical mass that encourages the interaction of researchers with different backgrounds and interests, creating inclusive environments in which debate and interdisciplinary collaboration are favored, and in which doctoral students are active participants in the research carried out in them.

Doctoral Program in Nutrition and Food Sciences

Fundamental objectives: The objective is to train doctors from different degrees (Nutrition, Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology, Food Science and Technology, etc.) in the field of Nutrition and Food Technology, so that they can successfully develop the challenges that continuous evolution of these sciences pose.

It is a joint program of the University of Granada and the University of the Balearic Islands.

Doctoral Program in Psychology

Fundamental objectives: The doctoral program aims for students to achieve the necessary skills and competencies to carry out autonomous research work (planning, design of experiments, data analysis, interpretation of results and communication thereof, as well as the skills to obtain public funding and private to carry them out).
