In recent years, Spain has taken a leap in biomedical research thanks to the confluence of different factors and the promotion of cooperation between the health system and the biopharmaceutical industry. However, the need to redefine, redesign new strategies to maintain and, where appropriate, reinforce Spain's leadership in this area is detected in an international context of strong competition. In addition, it is essential to bring these advances closer to society and work to communicate the social impact that biomedical research has on our lives. Undoubtedly, Spain needs a national strategy that promotes R&D to take advantage of the full potential of researchers, companies, and research centers in order to create social and economic value (SDG Objectives-Agenda 2030).
On the other hand, given the common interest of the Platforms to facilitate the attendance of young researchers with the dual purpose of recognizing their efforts in the field of research and allowing them to update their science, this new edition will offer a free registration quota to students and young researchers under 30 years of age, whose final assignment will be communicated by the Technical Secretariat of the day based on the number of requests and the profile of the applicants.
This year, these conferences organized by the Spanish Technological Platform for Innovative Medicines of Farmaindustria in collaboration with the Spanish Platform for Health Technology Innovation of the Spanish Federation of Healthcare Technology Companies (Fenin), the Biotechnology Markets Platform of the Spanish Association of Bio-companies (AseBio) and Spanish Nanomedicine Platform (Nanomed) They will focus on the new strategies to be carried out to reinforce the Spanish leadership in biomedical research.
