V Congress of Biosanitary Research Students

CEIBS is conceived as a non-profit scientific conference by its promoters, with the main objective of promoting and bringing biomedical research closer to university students who have not yet completed their undergraduate studies. The intention is to introduce students in the field of biomedical sciences to the world of scientific conferences, encouraging their active participation through the presentation of original research papers in the form of oral presentations or scientific posters, which they then have the opportunity to publish in the scientific journal Archivos de Medicina Universitaria (AMU). The Editorial Committee rigorously evaluates these papers, thus emphasizing the curricular value of attending and participating in CEIBS. Furthermore, the best papers receive monetary prizes, of considerable value considering that this is a student conference. At the Internal Student Academy, we believe that this undoubtedly contributes to excellence in the training of those who will tomorrow ensure the progress and well-being of our society.

FIBAO and the ibs.GRANADA participate in this edition as collaborators, being in accordance with the objectives of this event.

Objectives

• Promote research among university students in the field of biosanitary sciences, facilitating an approach to the scientific environment.
• Promote and extend the creation of Internal Student Academies in other universities.
• Bringing young researchers closer to the world of scientific congresses.
• Promote both local and inter-local collaboration between student researchers.
• Develop a national student research community that exchanges knowledge and experiences.
• Encourage contact between students interested in research from different universities, and scientists with brilliant careers.
• Extend the concept of "medical research" beyond that conducted by physicians or future physicians, giving the importance and recognition they deserve to work that is not purely medical.
• Accommodate student work as rigorous publications in scientific journals.
• Facilitate access to the initiation of research for students of the biosanitary field interested in this field.
• Disseminate research work carried out by renowned researchers and by students who have collaborated with their research groups.
