Osteoimmunology conference: interactions between bone and the immune system

The Master's Program in Research and Advances in Preventive Medicine and Public Health and the Faculty of Medicine invite you to Professor Peter Pietschmann's lecture entitled "Osteoimmunology: Interactions between Bone and the Immune System." The lecture will be given next Thursday, February 1, at 16:30 p.m., in the Faculty of Medicine's Graduate Hall B.

About the speaker

Prof. Pietschmann has been trained as a Medical Specialist of Internal Medicine, Rheumatology and Pathophysiology. His primary research competence is in the field of osteoporosis and other bone diaseases with a special focus on osteoimmunology. Since 1999, he is the head of a research group which studies the biology and pathophysiology of bone by molecular, cellular and translational approaches in vivo and in vitro. Since 2006, he is the deputy head of the Department of Pathophysiology and Allergy Research, and since 2007, he is the head of the Division of Cellular and Molecular Pathophysiology. I have published more than 220 papers in peer reviewed international journals.
