II Edition of the Course: Introduction to Machine Learning for the analysis of biomedical data

In recent years, the exponential growth in the volume of biomedical data has led to the application of new intelligent processing techniques to obtain knowledge of them. This course will introduce an introduction to machine learning for the realization of groupings of the samples and the construction and evaluation of prediction models. The visual tool Orange Data Mining will be used for this, which allows numerous analyzes to be carried out without the need for programming knowledge.

Addressed to: Researchers from the Biosanitary Research Institute (ibs.Granada) with an interest in the application of advanced techniques for the analysis of biomedical data (physicians, epidemiologists, research staff, research support technicians, etc.). Researchers from outside the ibs.Granada will also be admitted, as long as there are vacancies. 

Duration:

  • 25h
  • 2.5 hours of theory by videoconference + 2.5 hours of exercises per teaching unit.
