Event Details

II Meeting of Entrepreneurial Scientists

From November 12 to 14, 2014

Technological Park of Health Sciences

The transfer of technology and the transfer of knowledge, from the public sphere of research to the business world, are presented as key elements for the economic and social development of a country, since they are the engine of wealth creation, employment and social welfare.

For this reason, today more than ever it is essential to promote scientific entrepreneurship and support all those who want to create a science-based company. Aware of the difficulties involved in undertaking science, the Meeting of Entrepreneurial Scientists aims to raise the challenges and opportunities, as well as the difficulties and possibilities that exist.

Along with the main activities included in the program of the II Congress of Entrepreneurial Scientists, the Meeting will host the First National Junior Companies Workshop, the Spin-off Conference of the OTRI of the University of Granada, the session of the Andalusian Technological Corporation ( CTA) and an Investor Forum.

The activity is aimed at:

- Pre, postdoctoral, junior and senior researchers.

- Executives of technology-based and spin-off companies at the national level.

- Business Angels, Venture Capital Managers, Family Offices, Public and Private Investment Funds.

- Technology Transfer Agents (OTRIs, Business Accelerators, etc).

- Students in the last two years of their studies.
