Speaker: Ana Pancorbo Jiménez, consultant in digital marketing and in science communication and outreach. Presentation:
For years, social media has been the leading force in bringing science communication to the public. From Quantum Fracture to La Hiperactina, the number of science communicators on social media is overwhelming and continues to grow. This workshop won't teach you how to become an influencer with thousands of followers. Instead, you'll learn the key tips for sharing your research project on social media: how to explain the important points, which formats are appropriate for your content, and the main dos and don'ts for social media formats.
Ana Pancorbo Jiménez, consultant in digital marketing and in scientific communication and dissemination.
I started out as an environmental journalist thanks to a scholarship at the EFE news agency. That's where my passion for science communication was born. During my postgraduate studies, I immersed myself in academic research on science communication. For two years, I investigated how scientific reports on the dredging of the Guadalquivir River were disseminated in the print media.
For the past 3 years, I have been advising researchers on the dissemination of their scientific projects. I was at the head of an agency specializing in this field and, currently, I provide these professional services.
I also have over 15 years of experience in communications and marketing. Currently, I work at Ómibu, a full-service digital marketing agency based in Granada with a national reach.
At the agency, I design marketing strategies for companies and institutions.
