On Friday November 19 at 14:00 p.m. the conference entitled «Environment and health interventions: from molecular mechanisms to community participation»", taught by Dr. Ana Navas Acien.

This conference is framed within III Conference on Advances in Research in Epidemiology and Public Health, closing ceremony.

It is a virtual conference, which can be accessed from 14:00 p.m. It is important that attendees have the microphone closed to avoid interference during the conference.

Dr. Ana Navas Acién

Dr. Ana Navas Acién is a specialist in Preventive Medicine and Public Health and professor of the Environmental Health Area at Columbia University, New York. She is the director of the Columbia University Superfund Research Program, an adjunct professor at Johns Hopkins University, and is also a member of the External Advisory Committee of ibs.GRANADA.

His many scientific studies are related to the consequences of environmental exposure on cardiovascular disease, as well as the long-term health effects of environmental chemicals (such as arsenic and other metals, tobacco and e-cigarettes, and air pollution) , its interactions with genetic and epigenetic variants, and effective interventions to reduce inadvertent exposure to environmental agents.
