The Biosanitary Research Institute of Granada collaborates with almost fifty donations destined to the hospitals of Granada to combat the COVID-19 pandemic
Since the launch of the ibs.GRANADA donation portal for COVID-19, a total of 44 donations have been received from companies and individuals who have wanted to "do their bit" to combat the pandemic.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the Biosanitary Research Institute of Granada ibs.GRANADA, together with the Medical and Nursing schools of the province of Granada, promoted a joint campaign to raise funds to provide the Granada Health Logistics Platform. The initiative is aimed at acquiring medical supplies to equip healthcare professionals.
Thanks to these donations, which have amounted to a total of € 28.000, the ibs.GRANADA has acquired 788 PPE Safety Divers against Biological risks for health personnel who care for patients with COVID-19 and a total of 22.250 surgical masks, which They have been destined to the hospitals of the Granada capital for the use of professionals and patients.

El Biosanitary Research Institute (ibs.GRANADA) It has been configured as an integrating space for biomedical research in Granada, which integrates researchers from the San Cecilio Clinical University Hospital, Virgen de la Nieves University Hospital, Primary Care, University of Granada and Andalusian School of Public Health, currently has a total of 65 investigations on COVID-19, of which there are a total of 51 research studies and 14 clinical trials.
