The ibs.GRANADA has participated in the INTERREG SUDOE Seminar
This is a Seminar on the Interreg Sudoe call, which aims to inform about the control system and financial circuit of expenses within the framework of the INTERREG SUDOE 2014-2020 program, and is aimed at the organizations participating in projects approved of the first convocation, as well as the first-level controllers who have been previously authorized.
Within the framework of this Program researchers from the ibs.GRANADA participate in a project granted and financed by this Interreg SUDOE Call, whose associate partners are the University of Granada and the Andalusian School of Public Health.
It took place in Madrid, on February 1, at the Ministry of Finance and Public Function. Paseo de la Castellana 162. Assembly Hall, between 09:00 and 17:30. With the following Agenda
The project
As a chronic non-communicable disease, cancer represents one of the main concerns in public health and one of the first positions in social expenditures.
These economic considerations, amplified by the increasing incidence and prevalence of cancerous diseases, explain why the Member States involved in the SUDOE space have established national "Cancer Plans".
The objective of the project is to establish operational links between these different Cancer Plans, to mobilize all the actors around prevention, assistance, translational research and accompaniment.
The ONCONET SUDOE project aims to analyze the actions carried out in the field of prevention, molecular diagnosis, therapeutic innovation and the use of ICT in the management of cancer patients within the participating territories of the network.
For this, the production of white papers, workshops and consensus conferences, the production of educational tools (MOOC), aimed at the three main target groups: health professionals, regulatory authorities, the general public, will be favored.
The program
The Interreg Sudoe Program supports regional development in South-West Europe by financing transnational projects through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The Program promotes transnational cooperation to solve problems common to South-West European regions, such as low investment in research and development, the low competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises and exposure to climate change and environmental risks The Interreg Sudoe Program (Interreg VB Southwest Europe Cooperation Program) was approved by the European Commission on June 18, 2015 with a budget of 141 million euros. Approved projects must be organized by public or private partners from regions of different countries in southwestern Europe. The eligible regions are all the Spanish autonomous communities (except the Canary Islands), the six regions in the south-west of France, the continental regions of Portugal, the United Kingdom (Gibraltar) and the Principality of Andorra.
Program objectives
Reinforce the synergetic and networked operation of R & D & I at the transnational level in the specific sectors of the SUDOE based on smart specialization. The projects approved by the Program must deal with one of five priority axes. They have been chosen because they are those in which transnational cooperation has the greatest impact in southwestern Europe:
- Research and Innovation
- Competitiveness of SMEs-Low Carbon Economy
- Fighting climate change
- Environment and resource efficiency
