The ibsGRANADA continues with its Science Week with an activity on Tissue Engineering
We finished today's activities, November 15, with a talk given by Cristina Blanco and Óscar D. García from the group TEC03-Tissue Engineering of the ibsGRANADA, to students of the 2nd year of Baccalaureate of the IES Alba Longa in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Granada.
In this talk they have been told about Tissue Engineering and how in the laboratory they generate artificial tissues with future clinical applications, such as artificial skin, the cornea or peripheral nerve repairs.
Once this short talk is over, the students have visited the facilities and laboratories in which they work, where they have had the opportunity to see some equipment such as 3D bioprinters, the scanning microscope, the cell culture room and the fluorescence microscope. with some stained sample among others.
