The ibs.GRANADA promotes infection prevention with a hand hygiene workshop

Within the framework of Science Week’s most emblematic landmarks, the ibs.GRANADA has celebrated this Thursday, November 6 un Hand Hygiene Workshop aimed at students in the cycle of Auxiliary Nursing Care Technician the center Atlantis CIDEPThe event, which has brought together 26 students in the Faculty of Medicine, has reinforced the importance of hand hygiene as an essential measure in the infection prevention in the healthcare setting.

The workshop was given by the researchers María del Rocío Olmedo Requena, Macarena Lozano Lorca, Carmen Amezcua Prieto y María Ángeles Castillo Hermoso, of the group E14–Preventive Medicine and Public Health .

During the session, theoretical content on the risks of inadequate hygiene was combined with a practical demonstration of the correct hand washing techniquethus promoting applied training based on scientific evidence.
