We continue with the ibs.GRANADA Science Week with an activity on breast cancer diagnosis
This afternoon, Thursday, November 16, researcher Javier Valverde Pozo, collaborator of the group TEC16-Advanced Therapies: Differentiation, Regeneration and Cancer from ibs.GRANADA, has given a talk on the use of a fluorescent sensor as a tool for the diagnosis of breast cancer to users of the Association of Andalusian Mastectomized Women (AMAMA Granada) at its own headquarters. The AMAMA association is made up of women who, due to a tumor or cancer in one of their breasts, have undergone surgery with total or partial removal of the same and who fight to overcome it.
In this talk, the researcher explained issues such as the design, synthesis and photophysical characterization of a new fluorescent sensor applicable to the detection of DPPIV enzymatic activity in living cells, tissues and zebrafish.
