The Granada Biosanitary Research Institute (ibs.GRANADA) has concluded its cycle of activities Women and Girls in Science Month with an open day and guided tour of the Platform for Animal Models and Experimental Surgery. This initiative, held on March 7, has allowed students in 1st and 2nd year of Baccalaureate of the Father Manjon High School to learn more about the work being done in this area of research.

The activity was directed by Rosa Quiles Pérez, responsible for the Platform for Animal Models and Experimental Surgery from the ibs.GRANADA, who explained to the attendees the importance of animal models in the study of diseases and in the development of new therapies. During the visit, the students were able to observe the facilities, learn about the techniques used in biomedical research and understand the impact of these studies on translational medicine.

With this event, the ibs.GRANADA closes a month full of activities aimed at bringing science closer to young people and making the role of women in research more visible. Through initiatives such as this, the institute's commitment to scientific dissemination and the training of future generations in the field of biomedicine is reinforced.
