The Regional Hospital of La Inmaculada and the UAL have made a definitive approach towards the future during a visit that the rector Carmelo Rodríguez and his team have made this Friday the 23rd. With it, a journey started on March 19 in the Hospital de Poniente and continued this past April 13 at the Torrecárdenas University Hospital.

Last October a group of experts in biosanitary innovation met to highlight the important role of the biosanitary innovation technology transfer process, from detection to transfer to society, in the biosanitary field and in research institutes . This meeting, promoted by the Innovation and Technology Transfer Unit of the Biosanitary Research Institute of Granada, has aimed to analyze the handicaps and offer solutions to the innovation process, with the aim of improving technology transfer from public / private institutions, as generators of innovation, to society.

Researchers from the ibs.GRANADA and Torrecárdenas in Spain, belonging to the Colorectal Cancer research group, have recently published in the prestigious journal BMC Cancer a work entitled: Spatial and temporal variations in Spain in the standardized ratio of in-hospital mortality due to colorectal cancer, 2008-2014, in which they address a method that makes it possible to compare the real deaths that occurred in patients undergoing colorectal cancer with those that would be expected according to their severity.

On May 17th, the II Andalusian Meeting of those involved in early intervention in psychosis will take place in the auditorium of the Virgen de las Nieves University Hospital, with the collaboration of FIBAO and ibs.GRANADA.

The Academy of Internal Students of the Faculty of Medicine of Granada organizes the V Congress of Biosanitary Research Students (CEIBS), which will be held from March 13 to 16 at the academic headquarters of the Health Technology Park, and FIBAO and the ibs .GRANADA participate as collaborators of the event.

The researcher at the Biosanitary Research Institute of Granada (ibs.GRANADA), the Institute of Nutrition and Food Technology (INYTA) and the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Granada Ana Rivas Velasco has received a grant of 40.000 euros from the Foundation Mapfre, lasting one year, for the development of a research project on the exposure of children to bisphenol A and its relationship with obesity, belonging to the field of Health promotion.
